Our Warranty Policy
Our warranty policy explains the warranty limits, liability limits, warranty terms, warranty exclusions, and the procedure to obtain warranty services.
Limited Warranty on Desktop Computers
ÉQUILON offers a basic 1-year limited warranty on all its computers and parts and 3 years of labor, free of charge. By computer, we mean the computer case and all the parts that compose it.
We also offer an extended warranty on our computers and parts for 2 or 3 years, at an additional cost. The extended warranty fees are $150 for an additional year or $300 for an additional two years.

ÉQUILON will repair or replace, to the best of its ability, any defective parts with new, used, refurbished, or comparable parts.
Covered are material and manufacturing defects of the computers and basic peripherals sold by ÉQUILON. Not covered are software, products not originating from ÉQUILON, problems arising from external causes such as accidents or power surges, unauthorized maintenance, non-compliant use, non-compliance with instructions, problems caused by accessories, products without serial numbers or with removed "do not remove" labels, unpaid products, and normal wear and tear.
If it is found that out-of-warranty work is necessary, ÉQUILON will obtain the customer's agreement before proceeding with the work. The customer is responsible for the equipment and labor costs for out-of-warranty work.
Maintenance
Labor for part changes and system maintenance such as cleanings or coolant changes are free on all ÉQUILON computers until system failure. No other warranties. ÉQUILON LIMITED offers no other warranties, express or implied, regarding the quality or performance of the product, the product's suitability for a specific use, compliance with any representation or description of the product, documentation, or manufacturers' representations of equipment.
Even when your system is no longer covered by the ÉQUILON warranty, certain individual components of your computer may still be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. We will do our best to assist you in engaging these manufacturers and benefiting from their warranty.
Limitation of Liability
ÉQUILON's liability is limited to repairing or replacing warranted parts. ÉQUILON disclaims all liability beyond the limited warranty and shall not be liable for any losses, costs, expenses, inconveniences, or damages that may result from the use or inability to use the computer. Under no circumstances shall ÉQUILON be liable for any damages exceeding the price of the computer.
Warranty Conditions
The warranty covers products purchased from ÉQUILON. It covers normal use only and does not cover improper use, abuse, neglect, customer-responsible shipping damages, improper installations, or customer-made modifications.
The warranty also does not cover damages resulting from disasters, fire, floods, exposure to extreme temperatures, exposure to excessive moisture, lightning, or inappropriate electrical current. Finally, problems related to software or web applications use are not covered by the warranty.
If no warranty-covered defect is found, the customer will be responsible for a labor fee of $100 and return shipping costs.
Products must be returned to us in their original packaging or in comparable packaging, capable of withstanding the hazards of transportation.
It is the customer's responsibility to back up their data and applications. The customer agrees to release ÉQUILON from any liability regarding data or software loss during or after the exercise of a warranty repair.
Procedure to Obtain Warranty Services
To obtain warranty services, you must contact ÉQUILON directly and speak with a technician. You must agree to participate in a diagnostic call to help determine the cause of the problem. At our discretion, we may perform a remote repair, send you a spare part, send a service technician to your home, or ask you to return the product to us. Fees apply if the problem is not covered by the warranty.
If you need to return the product to us, you must first obtain an authorized Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, which will be provided by our ÉQUILON technician. You must return your computer to us in the original box or in a well-protected shipping box. ÉQUILON is not responsible for shipping damages to ÉQUILON.
Upon receipt, ÉQUILON undertakes to repair or replace your computer, at its discretion, and return it to you within 2 weeks of receiving your computer.
The customer is responsible for shipping, or shipping fees, of the computer to ÉQUILON. If the problem is covered by the warranty, ÉQUILON will pay the shipping fees to the customer. If no damage is found, return fees and a $100 labor fee will be charged to the customer. After the warranty period, the customer pays return shipping fees, current labor fees, and the price of spare parts.
Warranty Transfer
The customer may transfer the original warranty of their computer if they sell their computer. To transfer the warranty, the customer must register the transfer with ÉQUILON at the time of sale. The buyer must also agree to our privacy policy.
